There is a lot I learned from this color theory assignment. There is a lot you can do with color such as showing emotion just through color and expressing a setting. These skills are pretty important in modern art and animation and are used quite often from Disney to common artists.
Leaving this exercise there is a lot I realize I can do with color theory and my project. From monochromatic to double complementary I have options on how I want to approach my project with this. I want to have a calming setting with the main character examining his surroundings. My goal to accomplish this is with calming complementary colors to express this. My character is sitting in a mini forest when he gets up from his reading his book and examines his surroundings. Since my character is a mannequin the way I would express him is through colored accessories. His character has a black top-hat which can express a type of sophisticated character.
The setting I feel would be easier to express. Since it's in a forest we have green trees but to go with them I would either have red flowers or apples hanging from these trees to give it more life and a calming tone. I would also like to add a little lake/river to further improve on this calming tone. To also do this I wouldn't use bright version of these colors and probably more muddied and/or have the value of these colors turned down. These are the ideas on where I would like to take my project with what I have learned from color theory and I hope I fulfill these ideas.
